Hello blog world! I am so tired so I thought I would just stop in with a quick day's recap. Tonight I had a little family dinner with my uncle, cousin, mom, sister and stepdad. I don't know how it really came about, but all the sudden I was cooking on Thursday night for everyone. I usually don't do anything during the week especially in the cold, dark winter but this was an exception because they were coming to us. :)
Since I knew I wouldn't have time to go to the gym this afternoon I woke up at the wee hours of the morning and hoofed it on the treadmill. My body definitely didn't want to run but after walking for ten minutes it was okay. It was so dark on my way home, I just couldn't believe it. I am definitely a morning person and like when it is light early. I even made it to school pretty early, so it was a good start to the day. After I got home I couldn't do anything as far as cooking because our water was turned off until 5, so I did some quick stretching/yoga-ish moves to stretch out. I have been doing about 30 minutes of yoga 2 times a week, but wasn't really sure where to fit it in. After reading this post on Fitnessista.com I have a better idea.
So as for dinner, their request was pumpkin gnocchi and I decided to make salmon, bread and a small salad with it. My sister and Jess came over before to help me out so it was pretty easy with their help. This time I used my new crinkle cutter to cut the gnocchi pieces up. Dinner was delish and I even was forced to shared some of my chocolate chip and pumpkin dark chocolate chip cookies with everyone.
So tomorrow is FRIDAY, yay...and a 3 day weekend...YAY. So excited. Going to watch some tv and get ready for tomorrow! Here is my preview for my next post.... it's a breakfast food and it's clean...and really really good.
