Carb Heaven

by Nicole on November 4, 2010

Blegh. The rain ruined my morning run today. I was looking forward to running outside in the morning in the brisk air to wake me up. I’ve slept in all week, I know poor me. I woke up, looked outside, climbed back into bed and rolled over. I guess the extra 1.5 hours of sleep was ok. I’ll be making another visit to the gym today, Portia is on Ellen, so I’m okay with it.

I have been so good about blogging daily and then last night I couldn’t think of anything. Finally at 7:30 this morning it hit me.

We’ve been doing our long runs on Sundays, which is nice because we take a rest day Saturday and have fresh legs ready to run. It has also been a little bit of a tradition that we make amazingly delicious carb heavy meals Sunday night because we are so hungry. What carb heavy meals do you ask?

Well there is:

I’ve also made chicken rolls, veggie and chicken paninis and next up are pumpkin gnocchi!

I love carbs. I’ve mentioned before they are my weakness. I still stand by this claim and I have no intention on changing things.

What’s your favorite carb?

I love all carbs, but I’m especially a sucker for fresh-baked bread and butter. So good!

All I’ve wanted to do this week is sleep in. It’s definitely the weather and time of year!!
This is a great pizza dough recipe!! Definitely saving. And definitely checking out the pumpkin gnocchi, too. Uh, yes please!

I love all of the different flours you used in the crust! I have been wanting to try out garbanzo flour!
