So the end of 2010 is here, another year gone and a new one has begun. A new year filled with new opportunities, challenges and obstacles. Every year has it’s ups and downs and this one certainly did.
I have to say when 2010 started, it was a little rough for me. I was having a rough year teaching and I wasn’t really so happy to be going to work each day, but as the year has ended I am in a much better place because of the plans I am putting into place for myself, but that could be a whole different post and I’m sure it will be.
I wrote this post to continue with reflecting on the past year. Blogging has given me the amazing chance to look back on my past year and see what I’ve done and how I’ve changed over the year. And that’s without mentioning all of the opportunities I’ve had because of blogging.
In 2010 I:
- Fell in love with yoga
- Fell out of love with teaching
- Celebrated 1 year of blogging and got a blog makeover!!
- Went to Costa Rica
- Lost my grandmother
- Experimented LOTS in the kitchen, especially with vegan, raw and vegetarian meals & desserts
- Told you my future hopes and dreams (see here too)
- Ran over the Brooklyn Bridge
- Turned 26
- Went to Fashion Night Out
- Was a very special part of 3 weddings
- Went to see Brendan Brazier speak at Lululemon Soho
- Tried new workouts: bikram yoga, SoulCycle, The Bar Method, Core Fusion & Intensati
- Went apple picking for the first time
- Traveled to Newport, Philadelphia, Providence, Westerly, Southampton, Point Pleasant, Lancaster, & Boston & the new Yankee Stadium
- Declared that you all should chose health, now
- Kicked butt in my first half marathon and some other races
- Told you how much I LOVE love
- Celebrated 2 years of marriage!
- Made an effort to eat less meat and when I do eat meat, it’s organic
- Bought more organic foods
- Met some NYC blog friends
- Enrolled to be a Certified Health Counselor at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition
- and mostly importantly to me spent time with my family and friends who I am so incredibly grateful to have in my life
In 2011 I hope to:
- Continue and strengthen my yoga practice
- Run in more races, injury free
- Continue to eat organically and as environmentally friendly as possibly
- Travel to Italy
- Buy a house
- Build a business for myself, working with clients as a Holistic Health Counselor
Have a very happy and healthy new year! Thank you for following along with me! I am so grateful for all of you who take the time to read this everyday!

“Run in races, injury free”..now THERE’S a good goal!! I love to race, but I either run slightly injured or get injuries afterward..which isn’t good. Hope you’re able to keep them all up!

What a great trip down memory lane and a wonderful look ahead. I have high hopes for you in 2011, Nicole, though I have to say that Holistic Health Counselling’s gain is most definitely teaching’s loss!
You had a great year! I can’t wait to hear more about INN.
