You’ve seen a picture of my kitchen. It’s not the biggest kitchen in the world and I could use more space, but it does the job pretty well. It houses all of my kitchen appliances big and small, my abundance of food and baked goods, flours, tools, water bottles and coffee mugs, plus everything else.
I usually am “forbidden” to buy anything else for the kitchen…unless I can convince my husband how it would greatly benefit him…which is how my pasta maker made it through the door. Fresh pasta? No problem..we’ll find a space.
I wanted to share with you my favorite treasures found in my kitchen. They are not the most practical, they are just my favorite. I mean, you don’t NEED all of these things, but then again everyone’s level of need is different. Some of these things are pricy, some not at all.
(Disclaimer: I’ve bought all of these things with my own money (or received it as a present from a family member!)
1. Joyce Chen Spiralizer – You can make “pasta” out of zucchini or carrots. I use this weekly. It makes 2 different shape strands, one linguine, one ribbon. (Around $20)
2. Icing Knife – I just love icing cupcakes and cakes with this. It makes it so much fun. I’m pretty bad at icing, but this makes it way easier. (Around $10)
3. Immersion Blender - Great for smoothies, shakes, dressings, hummus-making. I use this daily. It’s great for when you don’t want to take out the huge blender. (Vary in price from $24- $50)
4. Mini Spatulas - These changed my life. I don’t know how I scraped clean anything without these. I’m really in love..plus they are mini, so they are cute. (These are from Crate and Barrel.)
5. Food Processor - Is this one kind of obvious? I make guacamole, granola bars, grind nuts, chocolate balls, and more in here. This is an essential tool for any kitchen, so maybe it doesn’t belong on this list..but it’s one of my loves, so I put it here.
6. Starbucks holiday mug – okay I know this isn’t a tool, but come on…how cute is this? I love having my tea in this cup. I think a large mug is a requirement for any kitchen. (This isn’t my exact mug, mine’s cuter. But you get the idea.)
7. Mini Loaf and muffin top pans – I use these weekly. Muffins just taste better when they are made in these. I fully believe this.
Okay, so these are my top 7 kitchen tools. Why am I stopping at 7? Well, because I have to go to work.
Do you already have any of these tools? What is your favorite, possibly totally unnecessary kitchen tool?

The food processor and immersion blender are definitely favorites of mine too!
I love your wall color!
Food processor and mini-spatulas (so darn cute!) I couldn’t live without (ok-being dramatic) my Vita-Mix!
The mini spatulas are pretty cute…I’m guessing 8 would have been the mixer that is 900 pounds?
The immersion blender is a fave of mine as well. I really want a spiralizer!
Your post made me laugh because my husband won’t let me buy any more appliances/gadgets unless I get his approval.
I don’t use my immersion blender often – I tend to favor my Magic Bullet. I also love my food processor – used it last night.
I just got an immersion blender for the holidays, but i have yet to use it. Love that spiralizer… such a fun gadget!
Dana recently posted..Giveaway Winner and BSI Announcement!
Oooo, I have to get me a mini loaf muffin top pan!!
i love my food processor and mini spatula’s too! sadly, they don’t get used very often. my favorite kitchen tools are the magic bullet, my full size blender – these 2 things get more use than anything else!
I like this post and need to invest in some of theseee
What a fun post! I too adore my spatulas! I’m pretty sure that I wasted gobs of food that got left behind in mixing bowls before I discovered the spatula. It’s a wonderful thing!
We are so one in the same! I am not allowed to buy any more kitchen stuff either. Specifically, bowls since apparently I have “maxed out” (which I don’t think is possible) lol.
I am eying a pasta maker now! I’ve been making zucchini and carrot pancakes for snacks and think it would be awesome to make zucchini or carrot pasta.
One of my favorite kitchen tools is the Panini press. It turns your boring ordinary sandwich into warm gooey amazingness.
I absolutely swear by this product: Ninja Kitchen System 1100. With this, you can literally throw away (ok, donate) your blender, food processor, magic bullet, mini-chop, juicer, smoothie maker, immersion blender, stand mixer, bread & dough hook thingy – all of it goes right out the window and is replaced by this ONE device that does EVERYTHING and does it better. It’s POWER is incredible. Do be careful when cleaning the blades, they are insanely sharp. It stores in considerably less space than the many appliances it will replace, but be advised it’s attractive enough to sit right on your counter, and probably should, as you will use it throughout the day. In my opinion this appliance is a kitchen ESSENTIAL. Worth every penny and then some.
