I know, I know. You’re thinking, yesterday I told you I was giving up white flour and sugar (for Lent) and today I’m posting about peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I hope you didn’t come here because you thought there was a good chance they could be made of things like quinoa flour, maple syrup and dark chocolate. Well, you got the dark chocolate right.
I mean don’t get me wrong, I make plenty of things with quinoa flour and maple syrup, and they are damn good…but that’s not what today’s about. Today’s about the real stuff. Butter and sugar.
adapted from about.com Ingredients Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, sugars and peanut butter. Add the egg and mix again. Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt to the butter mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate chips. Spoon onto a pre-greased or sprayed baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes. I made these yesterday for a friend at work. She was cleaning out her son’s kitchen and found 3 cooling racks and brought them in for me because they never use them. I was so psyched I had to bake her something to say thank you. Danny said these cookies were too good not to post, so I figured it doesn’t matter whether I ate them or not, they are GOOD. I hope you get a chance to take a break and make yourself a treat, because you deserve it! *I don’t know why my print button isn’t working properly today….so annoying, sorry! Today, I’m thankful for my husband who has been working crazy hours so we can have the things that we want. I appreciate all your hard work for us! What’s your favorite indulgent treat? Mine is a hard tie between ice cream and pedicures. I can’t wait for the nicer weather, I’m off to work and a date with the treadmill. Making Good Choices Blog

I want nicer weather too! I am ready to wear open toed shoes and t shirts! I’m over the cold and rain. The cookies look delicious! My treats are home made ice cream and I have been craving it lately (I think because it got warmer a couple of weeks ago), but now it is too cold. I hope you have a great day Nicole!
Ha, yep– sometimes, you really just need to bust out the *real* stuff!!
Ohh yum! I love cookies like this!
We have to pick a date for our class (especially if we’re eating cookies like this LOL) I’ve been so busy with school that I haven’t been to the Yoga Room in a while. This weekend is looking pretty full, but do you want to try for a class next weekend?

I lose all self-control around anything with peanut butter and chocolate in the name. I want to make these, but I think I might eat all of them
