Hi guys/gals!
I’m so crikety this morning…and I think it’s from my lack of yoga in my life. I need to get to my mat at some point, but I know it may not happen until next week…although I might be able to make it happen before I leave for Jersey tomorrow.
What are you all up to this weekend? Anyone have any big plans for New Years? We are spending our New Years with my in laws. Danny and I traditionally make a big dinner and cozy up to a couple of movies and this year we are doing the same thing..just in Jersey. We were supposed to see our in laws last week but the traffic on Long Island was OUT of CONTROL, so we decided to can the overnight to PA. We were trying to do too much in too short a period of time between the drive and hosting Christmas ourselves. I think it was a wake up call when we got in the car and sat on the Southern State for 30 minutes and didn’t move. Sometimes ya gotta do what’s best for you, even if it’s not the popular vote. It was a hard decision for Danny to make but it just was TOO much. We have been go go go since September, both of us working over 12 hour days and we just needed to chill finally.
ANYWAY…that was a ramble. Continuing with my holiday theme here on my blog, I wanted to share the drinks I made for Christmas. I became obsessed with the idea of signature cocktails for Christmas when I saw this pomegranate vanilla sangria on Jessica’s blog. It looked delicious…and it was. I wanted to come up with one more to balance it out. Funny thing is my family barely drinks, but I just had to have them. We all enjoyed 1-2 of them and then most of it got tossed…but it was STILL so fun!
Inspired by Southern Living Muddle fruit, mint & agave in a cocktail shaker. Add to large pitcher. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Add desired amount of vodka. Serve over ice!
I like these two drinks because they taste great and don’t have a lot of crazy added ingredients with tons of sugar/sodas.
As always remember to drink in moderation & be safe!
Have a great day!

This sounds great…even for New Year’s Eve!
i especially love that you didn’t put a measurement for the amount of vodka.

I like your blog’s graphic design – is it custom made, or some public template? Where can I download it from?
