Happy Saturday! I’m doing my usual morning thang, coffee, breakfast, work & the Today Show.
Quinoa breakfast with chia, goji berries, freeze dried blueberries, vega and raw almond butter.
How is your Saturday going?
I’m having a small dinner party tonight, so after this blog post I’ll be going for a run, going to Trader Joe’s and then cleaning up around here.
As I usually do on Saturday, I put togther my favorite links of the week.

1. A little bit different this week because some are videos from other people, like Brendan Brazier. I just signed up for his class on plant based nutrition on Monday. It’s free and I thought you might be interested. Watch this very interesting vlog he shot. I read his book Thrive a couple of years ago and found it SUPER interesting.
2. I HATE smoking. I’m sorry I just do. Well actually I’m not sorry. Smoking and cigarettes took the life of my Godmother and to me it’s just disgusting. Greyson explains it way better than me.
3. Listen to Alexandra & Kimberly’s interview with Milton Stokes, RD about 3 ways to improve your body image. Great listen! Also catch their blog at Funandfit.org!
4. Check me out on Chobani as a featured blogger! This was pretty exciting for me, so even though I don’t usually include myself in the Saturday links, I’m going to today!
5. 14 Reasons I’ve Been Able to Keep my Body Mostly Healthy by Danny McLarty - Danny shares what he does to stay healthy including not sitting in one position and changing up his workouts.
6. Body Dissatisfaction by Jill Fit. Jill’s site is just amazing, and I especially enjoyed this read about being unhappy with your body. Get happy and value yourself!

Hope you had a lovely run and enjoy your dinner party this evening! My favorite read this week…I’m on the last book of the Harry Potter series and loving it. I read it every night before bed and this last book is pretty intense. HA! Enjoy the weekend!

Congratulations on the Chobani blog! Those Chobani frozen strawberries look amazing. I’ll have to try them out.
Do you have tips for cooking quinoa? I tried it last year but remember it being very cumbersome because the directions said to rinse it (and they are small and hard to rinse). Was I misinterpreting that?

& agreed. smoking is GROSS. I used to smoke – blech. ashamed to admit it. Even more ashamed to say that I didn’t start young – there for i KNEW BETTER when I began. So stupid.
