Another Saturday here! I woke up at 6:30 ready and raring to go. I even felt the need to jump in the shower as soon as I got up…despite the lack of physical activity in my life.
I did a whole lot of nothing yesterday. I did some computer work from my couch and also managed to get some serious TV time in. The benefits of working from home is definitly that I can change my schedule around. I’ll be doing some work today instead of taking off, but it’s okay because I needed yesterday so bad!
I’ll be taking it easy today too. The difference in my pulled oblique/side/high IT band is HUGE in just one day. I need to convince myself to rest today too so it’s almost fully better by tomorrow.
So what am I doing instead of working out this morning? I’m doing some blog reading…and of course sharing my absolute favs with all of you!
1. Alfonso of Angry Trainer Fitness shared his outrage over Dr. Oz’s butt blasting diet. I have to agree with Alfonso, in the fact that I usually like Dr. Oz because he’s so up to date, but this show is completely ridiculous!! Alfonso said it better than I could, so go check it out!
2. I’ve been shopping around for a vanity for our downstairs bathroom. And by shopping I mean I’ve looked on IKEA approximately one time. After reading Janetha’s post, I will NOT be getting an IKEA vanity. She also shares some other must splurge items. What have you splurged on in your house? I’ve splurge on most of our furniture buying it in bits and pieces and also found some major scores at Pottery Barn outlet!
3. Quinoa cakes & crispy kale salad by Laury. Yes. Need to make this. Would rather if Laury made it for me, but I’d make it for myself too!
4. Coconut Eggplant Bharta - I’ve never had Indian food before, but Emily sure does make it look amazing!
5. Tina is one of my most favorite bloggers. If you’re not reading her site you are truly missing out! Her and I were on the same page this week when I wrote about fiber, she was writing about how to eat well. Give this a read to help you get on track!
Now that I’ve been up for 2 hours, I’m ready for a nap!
Happy Saturday! Any special plans for the weekend?

Good stuff! I pinned that recipe for quinoa cakes right away when I saw it.
And I love Tina’s blog too. Asking for some of her online personal training for my birthday *wink* And Emily’s blog is one of my favorites too!
We have good friends coming to stay with us this weekend and we need to do some grocery shopping and run some other errands. Good times.
Oh and did you see that I blogged about you this week?
Happy weekend…excited to check out these links!
Great links! Some of my favorites too! Rest up and enjoy your Saturday!
Great links…thanks for sharing! I’m going to have a productive Saturday like yourself:)
I saw Janetha’s post and LOVEd it too. We originally bought cheap furniture at IKEA and over time have splurged on better pieces. i LOVE warehouses. They always have killer discounts!
Also, you HAVE to try Indian food. It can be not only insanely healthy but D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S and not time consuming at all to make
Great links! Love the sound of those quinoa cakes… I’m planning to try red lentil-rice cakes these week as well. That rest will pay off, way to listen to your body!
Im late to this.
and now wondering if I can make today my saturday?
