Morning! How are all of you doing? The sun is out today, which means I’m going to be making this post short so I can get outside for a run.
I’m planning on doing a 5k on Saturday morning with Danny, his aunt and his mother. I won’t be ashamed at all if they leave me in the dust. I am just hoping to finish and to have a good time. We’ll be down in Jersey this weekend for my friend Katie and Steve’s wedding. Another Providence College couple and I couldn’t be happier for them.
I usually would be doing a baby update post, but I don’t really have any changes from last week to this week. Same things going on over here. Still feeling good. Tired, but feeling good. I’m grateful every time I go for a run or workout and keep my body moving. Keeping up with exercise has helped keep me in a great mood and feel good about this pregnancy.
With summer basically here, I highly recommend you get outside and go for a walk, run or bike ride and get moving!
1. Exercise helps control weight: Moving more and exercise can help you maintain or lose weight. The more intense your workout, the more calories you burn. 2. Exercise helps you stay healthy: Exercise can help reduce your risk of cardiovascular diseases and keep your heart healthy, help you sleep better, increase your metabolism and more. 3. Exercise will boost your mood: Endorphins are a real thing and you’ll feel great every time you finish a workout. Ya know the phrase, “never regret a workout”? It’s TRUE. Even if it’s 10 minutes, it will make you feel GREAT. 4. Exercise boosts energy: Instead of reaching for the sugary food, go workout and get your energy that way. You’ll be flying high all day, or at least for hours after your workout! 5. Exercise is FUN: Exercise should be fun. Connect with a family member or friend or spend much needed alone time. Either way, find what you love to do and do it! It’s also a great way to get your vitamin D in and get outside!
We all know exercise has amazing benefits, so what’s stopping you from actually getting out there and DOING IT? If you don’t take time each week to move, think about why you don’t. And don’t blame it on time! We have to MAKE time, it doesn’t just happen!

I love running but its so dang hot outside!
When I finished this school year of teaching, I managed to really let my exercising slide. I was still exercising, but it was extremely sporadic. Since I have more time, I’m trying to work my way back up to having the motivation and being more consistent. I can’t use “too early” as an excuse to not getting it done!
GREAT POST! Yay for all the benefits of movin and grovin!

My favorite form of exercising right now is climbing. It works so many muscles, especially your core, all at once. Every climb is a little puzzle with how to position your body and hold onto a hold. I love it! So much fun and I don’t feel like I’m working out. I love cardio, but weightlifting just isn’t for me. Climbing >> weightlifting!!
Yep, all good reasons! I do always feel better, more energized after a workout.
I used to just love cardio sweatfests, but lately I’ve been really enjoying both yoga and strength training. Switching it up!

I absolutely LOVE to lift. Cardio takes more of an effort for me, but I get it done. Doing something fun, like spinning, outdoor cycling, hiking or kayaking makes it more enjoyable for me.
