Happy Friday!
I’m 5 days into this “detox/cleanse” thing and I have a couple of thoughts about it.
5 thoughts about this detox:
- I’ve never done anything like this. I’ve cut out dairy before because I’m pretty sure it has a link to my skin issues, but never cut out grains and sugar.
- I don’t really have issues with cutting out gluten, dairy, soy and beans (for the short term!!), but the thing I miss most is the sugar in my ice coffee.
- I imagine that this weekend is going to be a little tougher because we usually have pizza or make a special dessert, so I’m already missing that.
- I feel “cleaner”. I don’t know if that makes any sense, but I haven’t had any bloating or stomach troubles AT ALL.
- I think I probably have to stick with dairy free because I think it’s a bigger issue for me than I want to admit.

5 things I’m working on right now:
- I haven’t mentioned this at all here, but now that it’s pretty official, I’m re-launching Blissful Eats!I’m so excited to have new varieties of granola and chocolate bites. We’re relaunching around June 5th.
- Pull ups. I can do only one chin up and about 3/4 of a pull up, so I’m working on this a couple times a week. I’m doing this program (how funny is this guy with no shirt & the hat). Except I’ve started with 5 sets of 5 reps, not 8.
- Pushups. Doing 100, 3 days a week.
- Getting caught up on Grey’s Anatomy. I’m 3 episodes behind. Anyone else still watch?
- Working on not drinking so much coffee! This cleanse is helping!
5 things making me happy
- Liv can finally reach the microwave buttons on her little play kitchen. She was SO psyched and it was so cute so see.
- Do I mention the Today show in every post? It just makes me smile and brightens my morning.
- Friday!
- Sunshine
- Orphan Black. We started it two weeks ago…maybe even 1.5 weeks ago and binge watched it till we finished. It’s SO good.
5 recipes I plan on making now and some after this is over:
- Raw chocolate chip cheesecake bars. Yes.
- Chicken Tetrazzini with zucchini noodles from Inspiralized
- Any and all of these 15 healthy recipes for the grill from Lindsay
- Egg and Crispy potato nests (I want to make these Sunday!) by Weelicious
